Hall of Fame play by play announcer Brent Musburger made the mistake of praising Oklahoma running back Joe Mixon on national television.
This is after a video tape depiciting Mixon beating up a woman was released to the general public.
I rewound this to make sure I wasn't being too tough on Brent. Nope. It's even worse the second time. This is embarrassing. pic.twitter.com/QAoikxck9G

As one could imagine, the commentary did not sit well with most Americans, and they Brent know about it.
“Lets hope this young man makes the most of his chance, and goes on to have a long career in the National Football League”.
Earth to Brent Musburger, it’s not all about football.
Not to many people are concerned with Mixon’s chances of becoming a millionaire, not when you look at the video tape.
This was a lapse in judgement by a respected televison voice, and he should have had the gumption to either apologize, or not mention the situation again.
Brent didn’t do that.

It’s enough that Brent heaped social accolades on a kid that punched a woman in the face, but to chide the fans that took issue with his mistake turned the situation into a bonfire.
Nobody wants to hear his reasoning, he would have been better off not saying anything at all.
Joe Mixon is not a hero, football is an infallible deodorant.
Bad form Brent Mushburger, bad form.
